EGYPT GOVERNMENT HAS SAID IT WILL KEEP ON PROVIDING MILITARY TRAINING TO TANZANIAN ARMY OFFICERS AT NO COST
Egyptian Defence Attachee in Tanzania Col. Waheed Abd Elnasser made the commitment on Friday at the marking of the 43rd anniversary of the 1973 war victory.
He said the two country’s forces will continue their collaboration in various fields in order to achieve prosperity and maintain peace in the region.
Elnasser said the Egyptian army has been training Tanzanian army officers in various courses. “On this particular day, every year we celebrate the glorious victory.
As Egyptians we are proud of our great army who sacrificed their souls for our beloved country,” he said.
According to him, the joint cooperation between the two countries in military training and facilities assistance shows the depth of the historical relationship since the reigns of the two great leaders of Gamal Nasser and Julius Nyerere.
He said 43 years later, since the end of the war, his countrymen took endless lessons in persistence, determination and desire to succeed.
“We were told great stories of the time by our parents and grandparents who fought this war or lived that time and our dreams didn’t shutter on the rock of defeat of June 1967 but rather thought of rebuilding the country and our armed forces,” he said.
He said history taught them that they were a persistent people who fought to attain success and achieved it. He said in October 1967, the Egyptian Army recorded history in letters of gold in the sheet of light to hit the new birth of Egypt and Arab nation as a whole and got over the pains and the wounds of defeat and engaged the nation in the development process to improve production and manufacturing.
“Then came a new page in the history of the modern Egyptians revolution of January 25, 2011. The certificates and statements of leaders of the world as well as public opinions engraved in the mind and memorized the history of the white Egyptian revolution,” he said.
He said the Egyptian army, supported by popular will, did not collide with it during the revolution, it has respected the same even on June 30, 2013.
“Today, Egypt is making confident steps towards a promising future and monitors the size of achievements and projects that have been implemented or are being implemented” he said.
The June 30 Revolution explores human core of Egypt through the mobilization of the Egyptian people’s ability to build an ambitious future and achieve dignity, justice, stability and democracy through a modern civil state and high-speed in many different areas.
